Poetry Month, Day 18: Pain

Pain

One giant throb
Of reiterative
Agony
Pulsing vehemently
Pushing me down
Into the bed
Under the sheets
Turn off the light
And then it’s just me
And the pain
Tight angry knotted cold sharp blistering
Exhaustingly familiar
Pain.
