Poetry Month, Day 15: Curtains

Curtains

The translucence of the white curtains
Hints at, but does not reveal
The glorious sunset outside
They move, gently, with the wind
As a chest is stirred by breath
The chatter of birds outside measures the respirations:
Slow, slowing, slowest
And finally ending as the day dies.
